If the machine has not been used for 2-3 days, it is advisable to run beauty water (acidic water) for about 20-30 seconds to rinse out stale water. During the production of beauty water, the polarity of the electrolysis chamber is also reversed so that calcium deposits are repelled. However, this does not replace regular cleansing with citric acid powder.
No. Both intensive and sporadic use can lead to limescale deposits in the machine. Depending on the quality of the water, frequent use can quickly lead to heavy mineral deposits on the electrolysis plates. However, in rare cases, the water in the machine evaporates and leaves deposits both on the plates and in the hoses. Regular cleaning is therefore always necessary.
1. turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power circuit 2. fill the cleaning cartridge with a packet of citric acid powder 3. insert the cleaning cartridge instead of the high-grade filter 4. place the grey hose (acidic water) and the hydraulic hose (Kangen water) in a large bowl or glass. 5. turn on the water tap until the vessel is full and both hoses are under water 6. leave the machine to rest for 3-5 hours or overnight 7. run water through the machine for about 5 minutes 8. replace the filter instead of the cleaning cartridge and replace the cover 9. reconnect the machine ATTENTION: Please do not replace the filter until the citric acid has been thoroughly rinsed out of the machine, otherwise the filter could be irreparably damaged and must not be used again. If your Kangen water tastes sour after cleaning, the filter came into contact with citric acid and must be replaced immediately.
Under the following circumstances, the machine enters the automatic 30-second cleaning mode: 1. after 15 minutes of total water consumption. 2. if the machine has not been used for 24 hours. 3. after the production of strongly acidic water. In some cases (depending on the water source or use) the inside of the machine has become so calcified that the mechanical propeller can no longer rotate, but this is necessary for automatic cleaning. If your machine does not complete the automatic cleaning process, please clean it first with citric acid before contacting our service department.
1. It is recommended to have the machine cleaned at least once every two years by our trained service team. Any dirt that cannot be removed by regular citric acid cleaning will be removed in this way. This makes the inside of the machine as good as new. Upon receipt of your machine, we first test its overall condition and performance. The machine is then cleaned with a strong acid, which removes any deposits that could damage the plates or internal water passages. Finally, we retest the machine performance to make sure you get it back in perfect condition. If you have any other concerns in addition to deep cleaning, please let our service personnel know in advance. Since it is not always possible to reproduce the circumstances in which you discovered a malfunction of the machine, it is advantageous if you describe to us as precisely as possible what should be checked. Specific problems, especially water leaks, should be reported to our team.

The high-grade filter removes a minimum of 95% chlorine and lead from up to 6000 litres of water. All other substances cannot be listed here, as the effectiveness of the filter depends on their density in the incoming water. Note, however, that Enagic does not produce filters that can make non-drinkable water drinkable. Our filters and pre-filters improve the overall water quality in terms of taste, smell, sediment content, hardness and removal of certain substances, and prepare the water for the electrolysis process, which is the main function of our machines.
WWe recommend replacing the filter every six months to achieve the best possible result. However, the machine has a mechanical counter and automatically displays the message "Replace Filter" after 6000 litres of incoming water, as the filter has been designed for this maximum quantity. The days since the last use of the water filter reset switch are also counted. 365 days after the last use, the display indicates a necessary filter change, even if less than 6000 litres have been used. One can imagine 365 days as an "expiration date" and six months as a "shelf life". Please note that one minute of running water will add up to about 6 litres, i.e. about 4 litres of Kangen water and 2 litres of beauty water from the grey hose.
If the machine is new, there may be air in the inner tubes intended for the amplifier fluid. Please let the water run at low pressure for 3-5 minutes. If the machine is not new, salt crystals may be stuck in the tank or internal connections. Clean the outside of the tank, especially the part that connects to the machine. Then let the water run for 3-5 minutes at low pressure.
A 400 ml bottle of electrolysis enhancer is sufficient for about 20 litres of strong Kangen water and 10 litres of strongly acidic water. When you get your machine all hoses are empty, therefore a little of the booster fluid will run into these hoses. However, this does not mean that it will come in contact with your Kangen water. These are two completely separate circuits within the machine. The amplifier therefore does not run into your drinking water, but into the water that emerges from the second hose. The electrolysis amplifier is only added to the water during the production of strong Kangen water. The machine then switches to the automatic cleaning mode. The electrolysis amplifier is not a hazardous liquid chemical. It is sodium chloride, or in other words common salt.
First of all the following things have to be considered: 1. how old is the filter in your machine? 2. how often do you clean the machine with citric acid powder? 3. what source do you get your water from (well water / sea water / urban water)? Please have the answers to these questions ready when you contact our service department.
White deposits on your water glass/cup or drinking bottle are normal and should not cause you any concern. Positive mineral ions accumulate in the Kangen water during ionization. These react with the oxygen in the air, resulting in a thin deposit layer on water glasses or other vessels. If you were to fill a vessel to its rim and then close it and compare it with a vessel that you have filled but not closed, you would find more deposits in the latter than in the first.
If, however, you find white particles in freshly tapped troughs of water that slowly sink to the bottom of your container, this indicates limescale deposits on the electrolysis plates. In this case, the machine should be cleaned more frequently. If your water is a little cloudy, this is usually a good sign as it indicates dissolved oxygen in your water.
Bubbles should only be visible in freshly produced water, as gaseous substances escape from the water (comparable to bubbling table water from which carbon dioxide escapes). The occurrence and visibility of bubbles depend on the conductivity of the incoming tap water and the cleanliness of the machine.
The pH depends on the following factors: 1. pH value of tap water 2. tap water temperature 3. water pressure 4. calcification of the machine 5. mineral content of tap water Please note that both pH and ORP are strongly dependent on the electrolysis time of the water. If your pH values are too low, reduce the water pressure. The longer the water is in the electrolysis chamber, the better the result will be.
If you want to determine the pH value of your water, consider the following things: 1. only collect water for the sample as long as the tap is still turned on. 2. only collect water for the sample when the water type indicator on the control panel stops flashing and you have waited 10-15 seconds. 3. Let the strongly acidic water run for about 40-45 seconds before collecting it for a sample.
Please understand that our water ionizers were built for the production of drinking water that is suitable for humans. Kangen water is intended for human consumption, so we are required to issue general warnings regarding other applications. Please also bear in mind that we cannot give medical advice. If you would like to give your pet Kangen water to drink, please first ask your vet.
EU regulations require well water to be tested and certified as drinking water before it can be used as such. If the well water has been found to be drinkable, take a look at our available pre-filter combinations for well water.
The adapters supplied with our machines comply with the European standard for tap heads. Please understand that we cannot produce adapters for non-standardised taps. In general, however, the screw adapter can be used as it is actually flexible.
If you are not going to use the machine for a long period of time, you should first completely empty it and pull the plug. After a longer period of non-use, an E-cleaning should always be done first. It is also advisable to store the high-grade filter during this time in the refrigerator or a similarly cool place in order to prevent the formation of mould. Once the filter has been used, it should not be stored for more than a month.
Desalinated water does not need to be pre-treated before passing through the machine. However, other problems may arise: 1. in some regions, desalinated water is too low in minerals, which could make it difficult to produce the desired pH. 2. On the other hand, desalinated water still has a too high salt content. This increases the conductivity of the water, which in turn leads to higher pH values. In regions receiving desalinated water, it is advisable for a sponsoring distributor to use his own machine to carry out a test in the household of the potential buyer to see if the desired values can be achieved.
It happens that you hear a slight hum when there is a magnetic field near your machine. The electromagnetic shielding differs slightly from machine to machine, causing some to buzz and others not.
If no water runs through them, all machines fall into standby mode. They are only active if the sensor registers running water.
No. If the grey hose (acidic water) is above the water outlet inside the machine, the separation of the water is partially reversed and both types of water mix again, causing the mineral ions to react with mineral oxides. Kangen water is ejected by the water pressure of the tap, whereas the acidic water is mainly drained by gravity. So there is not much pressure on the grey hose when it is lifted over the machine, which partly leads to a reversal of the electrolysis.
The functional principle of LCD touchscreens is conductivity. If the display does not react, this is because the electrical conductor - in this case the human body - does not influence the electromagnetic field of the screen. Check that the protective film of the screen has been removed and that your hands and the display are clean and dry.
This so-called "ghost-tapping" is related to the problem described above. Human skin contains fatty acids and other lipids. When you touch the display with your finger, whether wet or dry, these substances remain behind and react with the electromagnetic field of the screen, causing the machine to perceive a touch of the screen. Clean the screen to solve this problem.
In general, the cleaning tank should have emptied about 27 minutes after the start of the e-cleaning. It may happen that the tank is not emptied or leaks for the following reasons: 1. blockage due to crystallized salt or citric acid. 2. the lid of the tank is incrusted with crystallised citric acid. 3. the cover has not been replaced on the housing. Solution: Clean both the tank compartment and the tank cover with a damp cloth to dissolve hydrochloric and citric acid deposits. It is also important that the cover is placed back on the machine and that the tank is firmly seated in the compartment provided for it. In a few cases, the tank may be a predecessor model. These older tanks do not have the flexible hose inside. The lid of the tank must be closed so that the hose rests on the underside of the tank and does not end in an air pocket on the top of the tank. If the tank leaks, check that the cap has been properly and tightly closed.
The software probably stopped working. Unplug the unit, wait one minute and reconnect. Depending on your firmware version, you can continue with the previous cleaning cycle. If this is not the case, go through the steps "E-cleaning 7" to "E-cleaning 12" (page 28 of your operating instructions) manually and without regard to the instructions on the display. If the process stops suddenly after you touch the screen to check the remaining time, you probably touched the stop button. (Note that the screen is still active and reacts when it is dark). Therefore, do not touch the display near the stop button.
This can happen if the tap is turned on within the first 30 minutes during the cleaning process. Please touch the screen if the cleaning cycle has been running for more than 30 minutes. If the screen is currently active, wait until it goes into standby before touching it.
Deactivate the mineral solution tank in the "Settings" -> "Mineral Additive".
Yes. Do not close the flexible hose under any circumstances. The only hose that may be closed during E-cleaning is the secondary hose.
First thoroughly clean the thread and the tank cover. Also check if the contacts inside the compartment are free or stuck. Salt crystals may have stuck behind the contact pins, preventing the machine from detecting the tank. Use a damp piece of cloth or a damp cotton swab to carefully clean the pins and dissolve any salt crystals stuck behind them. You can also use a thin, smooth object (such as the end of a ballpoint pen) to gently push in the contact pins and gently loosen any salt crystals behind them. Be careful not to push the pins too far, as they may disappear into the machine. Then push the tank firmly into the designated compartment and put the cover back on the machine.
Check the "pH adjustment" under "Adjustments" and increase it if necessary. Also lower the pressure of the water jet at your tap to give the electrolysis process in the machine the necessary time.
If you are using an older generation of K8 filters, your filter may lack the protective sticker that covers the chip. If this filter gets wet, the machine may not recognize it. Try to dry the chip with a hair dryer and avoid further contact with water. If you have access to another K8, check your filter on the other device. If this also does not detect your filter, the filter chip is damaged. If the other machine recognizes your filter as original, please contact our service department. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Please refer to page 24 of your operating manual for the circumstances under which the machine requires a filter change. If none of these conditions apply to your case, please send our service department (email@example.com) a photo of the display bars under "Filter control" on your display (see page 16 of the operating manual). In addition, please inform our service team as accurately as possible about the time of the last filter change and the regularity with which you clean the machine. Only with this information can we help you adequately. Please understand that we cannot replace filters that have been in use for several months before the problem occurred, as in this case we cannot track the amount of water used.
The state of the water changes when the water is heated or cooled. Heating changes ORP and pH. After cooling down, the ORP changes, but the pH remains the same for up to one week depending on the water quality.
Unpurified water contains minerals
1. LeveLuk is designed to handle a standard amount of minerals. If the amount of minerals or free carbon dioxide2 is greater than usual, the minerals will occasionally react with the antibacterial effect3 of the water supply hose and smell.
We have prepared a water supply hose for such cases. When you first run water through the device, please put it on purified water and run it two to three minutes longer than usual.
Ca (calcium), Mg (magnesium), Na (sodium), Ka (potassium) and other nutrients in food and water. Minerals in facility are thought to be particularly advantage in optimal magnitude for wellbeing.
2 Free carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide wage in facility. Some people prefer the taste of water with carbon dioxide, which tends to have lower pH values. Water with less carbon dioxide is said to be better for health. Japanese sake tastes better when it contains a moderate amount of carbon dioxide.
3 Antibacterial function
Devices like LeveLuk that produce something for human consumption are treated antibacterially. These devices often consist of many different parts, and it is particularly important that the parts through which water passes are not contaminated.
Kangen Water® is intended for daily drinking and cooking and not for drinking with medication. The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Affairs gives the following instructions:
1. Do not take medication with machine-generated water.
2. Do not drink machine-produced water if you have anaciditas¹
>3. Ask a doctor or pharmacist for help if you feel an abnormality in the body or if continued use does not seem to improve symptoms. This is because the effectiveness of Kangen Water® drugs has not yet been tested. The pH of gastric acid is about 1.8 pH and medication is prescribed according to this pH so that the stomach passes by. To ensure the full effect of the medication, we recommend that you take some time between taking the medication and drinking Kangen Water®.
This symptom, also known as gastric Acholrhydria, occurs in people with stomach acid that is above the average human pH of 1.8 pH. This makes it difficult for them to digest food. These people should not drink alkaline Kangen Water®.
The type of tap water originally used influences the quality of Kangen Water® and the acidic water produced by electrolysis. Although water produced with municipal tap water is not affected, the efficiency of electrolysis decreases when well water is used because it usually contains a lot of free carbon dioxide1 and in cases where water containing only a small amount of electrolytic minerals is used. Conversely, in cases where the water contains excessive minerals, the taste may be impaired or the Kangen Water® may have too high a pH value. Since tap water pressure affects water production, it is important to confirm that genuine Kangen Water® is produced by regularly adjusting the correct pH and checking the bubbles. To take into account the quality differences of the original tap water, please perform a daily check.

The advantages of Kangen Water® are the contained minerals and the optimal hydration.
Acidic water has a pH of about 5.5 to 6.5 and strongly acidic water has a pH of less than 2.7. The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has recognized acidic water as astringent1. Strong acidic water has excellent cleaning properties and can be used to clean household surfaces and remove pesticides, dirt and other contaminants from food.
Acidic water acts as an astringent to firm your skin. "Astringent water" refers to acidic beauty water.
Since the winter air is extremely cold and dry, skin care is particularly important during this time. If you don't take care of your skin properly, you will suffer from dry and rough skin. Body fluids play an important role in maintaining body temperature and skin health. Alkaline Kangen Water® can help keep the skin radiant and smooth. Because it's important to keep your skin's pH between 5.0 and 6.0, we recommend spraying acidic water1 onto your skin at regular intervals throughout the day. In winter, bathing in acidic water can help maintain skin moisture. We also recommend that you eat foods and fruits that contain high levels of vitamins C, A, and E. If you treat your skin with beauty water, you can enjoy life even more by making your skin smooth and youthful.
Acidic ionized water generated by electrolysis with a pH between 4.0 and 6.5. Its astringent effect is confirmed by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Affairs. Excellent for skin care.
Among the five types of water produced by LeveLuk, the two types of drinking water (purified water / Kangen Water®) must be used fresh. Please keep these two types of water in the refrigerator for no longer than 4-5 days and change the water in your bottle daily. Water used for domestic purposes, including acidic water, strong acidic water and strong Kangen water, requires less care. However, we recommend changing the supply once a week. To store, please fill the water into an opaque container1, fill it all the way up to avoid unnecessary contact with air, and store in a cool, dark place (the refrigerator is ideal).

There are no fixed rules about how to drink Kangen Water® or how much to consume.
Most frequently, a low pH1 value (between pH8 and pH9.0) is first set and the intake quantity gradually increased. Adjust the pH value and the intake quantity (between pH 9.0 and pH 9.5) gradually to your physical needs and state of health after about two weeks of regular use. Kangen Water® should be as fresh as possible.
For children or seniors, set the pH to an even lower level at startup and gradually increase it as your body adjusts to the current pH.
In infants (up to about one year of age), breastmilk or breast milk consume the only thing they consume, bowel movement is generally different from that of adults, and the use of Kangen Water® does not encourage until the infant begins to consume more demanding foods. In any case, Kangen Water® should not be used to produce milk powder for infants.

It is very likely that the ring (stopper) on the cassette has come loose during transport or that you have forgotten to remove the O-ring1 when replacing the cassette. It is highly unlikely that the leak was caused by a mechanical fault in the unit.

Two types of water run through the LeveLuk machine, and Kangen Water® is only produced when both run at a fixed ratio. If the outlet hose is bent or the stand is positioned higher than the lower tip of the flexible pipe, acidic water cannot be produced. If you stretch the hose under the sink to collect water in a separate container, you will lose Kangen Water®. In this case, do not pull down the spout stand, but prepare a separate hose to collect the water in the container. Make it a daily habit to check the water with the pH test solution and hydrogen bubbles.
A rectangular switch is located under the black cover on the front left of the unit. Be sure to press this button (you should hear a beep) when setting up the LeveLuk for the first time or replacing the filter. This allows the correct display of all information stored on the LeveLuk microcomputer (liquid crystal display). This reset button must be pressed to display information on the LCD screen. It notifies the user if there is too much or too little water, triggers an alarm if hot water accidentally passes through, and instructs you to monitor water flow. By correctly using the reset switch on the LeveLuk, you will ensure that safe and healthy water is delivered.
The electrode plate in the LeveLuk electrolysis cell is thicker and larger than the products of other companies. The device is designed in this way to increase electrolysis capacity and durability. Another important reason is to ensure the production of maximum quantities of water. The electrode plates are made of high quality titanium coated with platinum. Needless to say, this choice of materials means that the electrode plates are completely stainless. The electrolysis cell is for a water generator what the motor generator is for a car. We can recommend our products with the best confidence as we use only the best materials. Our electrolysis cell and control (PCB) 1 ensures a high ORP2 and produces safe, healthy and tasty water. 2ORP (oxidation-reduction potential)
Electrical potential to reduce or slow down rust formation and decay (oxidation). This process is also known as deoxidation. ORP is measured in negative mV. The ideal redox level for the human body is between -150mV and -400mV.
Small amounts of minerals are found in untreated water (tap water / waste water). During electrolysis, minerals concentrate on the negative side of the electrolysis circuit, causing clusters to accumulate on the electrode plate. LeveLuk can remove the clusters by reversing the voltage, but sometimes these clusters fall off naturally. When you pour this water into a stainless steel container or glass, the clusters adhere to the bottom and sides. It is difficult to remove these clusters by scraping with metallic objects, etc. Instead, pour vinegar into the container and leave for 12 to 15 hours. You can replace citric acid1 with vinegar if you like. These clusters are not harmful even if they are consumed. So don't worry.
If you adjust the machine to beauty water (acidic water) and run the water for two to three minutes, you can significantly reduce the amount of minerals. Clean containers that you give up Kangen Water® at least every three months using the above method.
Citric acid is extracted from apples. It has the ability to dissolve clusters of minerals such as Ca and Mg. An ideal and safe way to clean water extraction equipment is to circulate citric acid through the equipment.
LeveLuk has an automatic cleaning system. The amount of minerals in the feed water, such as Ca and Mg, can vary greatly, and mineral 1-clusters inevitably adhere to the electrode plates. However, they can easily be broken off by reversing the electrical current (switching polarity +, -). Mineral accumulations attached to the electrode plate reduce the electrolysis capacity of the device, preventing the primary Kangen Water® from being produced. The amount of minerals adhering to the electrolysis cell varies depending on the amount of minerals in the tap water.
The automatic cleaning mechanism of LeveLuk is activated for 20 seconds when continuous electrolysis reaches 15 minutes. If you are using LeveLuk in areas where the water has a high mineral content, change the setting to "beauty water" (2nd from the bottom) and gently turn on the tap to make the water run smoothly. This will reverse the electric current and remove the crystals in the electrolysis cell after 2-3 minutes. If you change the setting to "Beauty water" once a day for 30 seconds, you can also clean the electrolysis cell. The cleaning function is necessary to maximize the life of the electrolysis cell.

Before pouring water through the flexible tube, remove the scales1 (mineral clusters) adhering to the electrode plate2 by reversing the voltage3, d. This is necessary to produce proper acidic water. If you remove the balance and let acid water flow through the flexible tubes, even if you do not use acid water, you can keep the electrode plate clean and increase its life. In addition, the use of the upper flexible tube facilitates the use of the device, especially when washing your face or pouring water into a plastic bottle.
Ca, Mg, Na, Ka and other mineral clusters occur when water is electrolyzed. These clusters are called scales and are not harmful even when consumed.
A metal plate that conducts current during electrolysis. It consists of titanium and is platinized. It has an excellent electrolysis capacity and a long service life.
To electrolyze water, the plus and minus of the direct currents must be clear. If mineral clusters adhere to the electrode plate, you must reverse the plus and minus of the current to remove the clusters. This basically sets the unit to a cleaning function similar to the "Beauty Water" setting.
The display screen of the LeveLuk informs you when the total water volume reaches 1,500 gallons. The microcomputer controls this notification mechanism. Make sure you press the reset button to activate the microcomputer when you insert a new filter. The reset switch is located at the top right of the cassette area (in the black cover on the left). Please press until it beeps. The microcomputer also controls other information for the LeveLuk. For this reason, it is important to press the reset key.
We offer a variety of optional accessories to maximize the benefits of LeveLuk DX.
Water Supply and Drain Hoses - Although any length (in units of 40 inches) is available, shorter hoses are easier to use for this purpose. The hose offered by our company has special antibacterial properties1 that distinguish it from general products.
Prefilter - Useful in removing foreign matter such as iron rust, dirt and sand, especially when the original water supply is present from a well. It can also remove limescale and protects the device.
All parts of the LeveLuk, especially those that come into contact with the water during filtering, have an anti-water mixture bacterial treatment to avoid any kind of contamination.
The electrolysis of water requires high quality electrolysis plates. Size, thickness and number of plates are critical to maintaining shelf life. The "double cross line" method1 used by other companies takes into account the total shelf life of the appliance. These appliances in turn use two small electrolysis cells to provide a rest period, but this limits the volume of water that can be produced at one time. LeveLuk, on the other hand, has the largest number of electrolysis plates in the industry, five or seven. Their large surface area and thickness maintain durability and allow the device to produce large quantities of water (maximum Kangen Water®: 2.0 gallons / minute).
Each function, e.g. the power supply corresponding to switching the pH setting and the generation of strongly acidic water in the same electrolysis cell, is carefully monitored by the microcomputer. It ensures that the instrument can be used safely for a long period of time. We recommend that you produce "beauty water" once a day for at least three minutes to improve the shelf life of the device.
1Double cross line method
Also referred to as automatic cross changer method. An electrolysis system in which the device is equipped with two small electrolysis cells to increase shelf life by changing the cells with each flow of water.
LeveLuk is equipped with an automatic water drainage system that prevents contamination and multiplication of germs in the residual water. The automatic water drainage system is activated as soon as the water stops. It takes approximately 30 seconds for all water in the electrolysis cell, the water treatment cartridge and all channels to drain through the hose (grey). Please note that the automatic water drainage system is activated when the water level drops and the outlet is positioned higher than the bottom of the unit for any reason (accumulation of acidic water in the tank, due to its length the hose will hang from a rack) may result in no residual water being drained. Leaving water behind can lead to taste and smell problems. Make sure that the outlet hose is lower than the appliance before turning off the tap.
If the original supply of tap water is rich in minerals (most commonly well water), large quantities of crystals form in the electrolysis cell. If this progresses, crystal lumps in front of the flexible pipe can get stuck in the net and obstruct the water flow. To remove this blockage, plug the area with a piece of wire and blow air from the outlet into the LeveLuk. Please remove the flexible pipe from LeveLuk when cleaning this way.
When water is electrolyzed, Kangen Water® (alkaline) is produced at the negative pole and acidic water at the positive pole. LeveLuk is designed so that the flexible pipe at the top is connected to the negative electrolysis cell, while the (grey) hose attached to the base of LeveLuk is connected to the positive electrolysis cell.
For this reason, Kangen Water® and Strong Kangen Water® come out of the flexible pipe and acidic water and strongly acidic water come out of the drain hose. When the four production modes are set to "Beauty Water" mode, the electrical current is reversed as for cleaning, so that acidic water exits the flexible pipe and Kangen Water® exits the drain hose. This is the only time the water is drained at opposite ends. Because the acid mode reverses polarity, the calcium crystals adhering to the negative pole break off and can be used as a manual cleaning mode.
Traditionally, strong acidic water could only be produced with large appliances for institutional use (at that time strong acidic water was referred to as overacidic water). We felt that it would be of great benefit to people's hygiene if they could produce and use strongly acidic water in their homes. With the LeveLuk, relatively large quantities of strong acid water and strong Kangen Water® can be produced at home.
The oxidation reduction potential1 is the electrical potential required to reduce or slow down oxidation such as rust formation. Kangen Water® must have a negative redox potential to be considered good, especially when drinking.
Redox potential is the strength to bind with active oxygen 2, which reduces performance, and can be measured through electronic designs in hardware. Although a negative value is desirable for deoxidation performance, the actual value varies from region to region. In the city of Osaka, for example, tap water recorded a redox of + 580-600 mV, but after the use of LeveLuk the redox is reduced to pH 9.5 and the ideal from -150 mV to -400 mV. When the ORP of the original water supply increases, the ORP of Kangen Water® moves in direct proportion. In the Japanese archipelago, LeveLuk is able to produce water with negative ORP values at pH9.5, even if the original water supply is the highest positive ORP value.
1Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP)
Electrical potential to reduce or slow rust and decay (oxidation). This process is also known as deoxidation. ODR is a measure of negative mVs. The ideal ODR level for the human body is between -150mV and -400mV.
Also known as free radicals. It is medically known to invade the body when the daily rhythm of life or diet goes astray under stress. It is the type of oxygen that causes disease and aging. Maintaining a daily rhythm will help prevent this oxygen from entering your body!
In ancient times, the Japanese archipelago was connected with present-day China, but over the years it collapsed and drifted towards the Pacific. Japan's soil was acidic at that time, and since there are many volcanoes along the Japanese Sea, the soil remained acidic and became neither neutral nor alkaline. As a result, water in areas towards the Sea of Japan is more acidic than in areas closer to the Pacific. Although acidic water, which has an astringent effect1 , is good for the skin when used for everyday tasks and facials, it is not suitable for drinking. Even if this water is electrolyzed, it does not produce water with standard pH values. This water is much better for consumption than unpurified water. The ORP meter is the best way to see this for yourself. In this case you need to add calcium glycerophosphate2 to the water. In this way the pH can be increased at 0.5 intervals. We recommend that people living in regions on the shores of the Japanese Sea add calcium to their water.
Acidic water contains a small amount of chlorine ions and has an astringent effect. This water is good for tightening your skin.

If the pH does not increase even after electrolyzing water (especially when using well water or tap water near the sea in Japan), adding calcium powder increases the pH.
Kangen Water® produces a yellow/green color (neutral reading) in pH test solutions, even if pH 9.5 was set during adjustment. This phenomenon is often observed in areas where well water is used. Even water that is neutrally tested has gone through the electrolytic process and has the advantages. This is caused by the carbon dioxide in well water that is produced by decomposition of organic material. Carbon dioxide dissolves easily in water and makes it acidic. Water containing carbon dioxide can be electrolyzed, but the carbon dioxide is neutralized during the process. Therefore, the water is neutral on the pH scale. The expulsion of carbon dioxide from Kangen Water® results in Kangen Water® expressing blue in pH test liquid.
If you are measuring pH with a pH test solution, add a few drops to the flask before adding freshly prepared Kangen Water®. There is carbon dioxide in your Kangen Water® when the color initially turns blue and finally turns yellow.
Your original tap water supply always contains some minerals. Especially on the Pacific side of Japan, including Okinawa, the land is more alkaline and minerals crystallize easily on the electrolysis plates and partially break off in the water. Although they look like foreign substances, drinking these mineral clusters is not harmful. To prevent the mineral clusters from falling into the water, we recommend changing the setting to "acid water mode" (return voltage) and increasing the pressure and amount of water once or twice a day for 3-4 minutes to clean the unit Due to the caustic lime situation in Okinawa, we recommend people living in this area to use the pre-filter2 (sold separately).
Depending on the situation, it may be useful to use both filters together. If mineral clusters remain on aluminum or anodized aluminum3, it will turn brown and is difficult to remove. Please refrain as far as possible from using aluminium or anodised aluminium pans and pots.
Okinawa should lie on corals. Consequently, the water in Okinawa has a high mineral content.

An ideal redox potential may not be achieved if the original water has a pH of less than 7.0. Please be sure to check the properties of your original water. Otherwise this can lead to inexplicable errors.

The white mist visible in Kangen Water® is simply a result of the release of hydrogen gas by electrolysis and does not pose a problem. If you let the glass rest for a while, the white fog should disappear.
Research on dissolved hydrogen released by the electrolysis of water was presented at the Japan Functional Water Association1 meeting in late December 2002. It reports that Kangen Water® effectively controls the oxidation of lipids in the body. It has also been reported that dissolved hydrogen2 present in the colloidal3 state has a higher activity level than active hydrogen4 produced at the time of reaction. Based on this report, the need for broader data collection and further scientific analysis was identified.

LeveLuk is used in the EU. If you use LeveLuk in other countries, it must be adapted to the voltage (110 V - 240 V) and water quality of the country. Since there are few countries where you can drink tap water directly from the tap, and in many countries where the water has an extremely high calcium content, we recommend that you select a filter suitable for the country. Many laws must be observed when exporting goods, but individual use abroad is not a problem.
LeveLuk is designed for use in any location, but especially in cold areas it must be known how to make the device frost-proof in winter. When you switch off the water, the LeveLuk activates the automatic water drainage system and drains the remaining water through the grey hose. This ensures that no water remains in the unit. Although there have been no reports of accidents or freezing breakdowns, acid water has been deliberately left in the tank by lifting the hose, or if the hose is positioned higher than the bottom of the LeveLuk for space reasons, the automatic water drain system does not work and the remaining water can freeze, resulting in accidents. Make sure that the hose is lower than the bottom of the LeveLuk when you turn off the water flow.
