If the machine has not been used for 2-3 days, it is advisable to run beauty water (acidic water) for about 20-30 seconds to rinse out stagnant water.
The machine should be cleaned about every two weeks with citric acid powder. Depending on the water quality of the particular region, it is possible that the cleaning process must be performed more frequently (about once a week) or less frequently (about once a month). To make sure that your machine is cleaned often enough, we recommend a weekly check of the pH of the water. If, for example, a change in the pH value does not become noticeable until after three weeks, it is possible that a three-week cleaning with citric acid powder is sufficient.

No. Both intensive and sporadic use can lead to calcification in the machine. Depending on the quality of the water, frequent use quickly leads to strong mineral deposits on the electrolysis plates. However, if used infrequently, the water in the machine evaporates leaving deposits on both the plates and the hoses. Regular cleaning is therefore required in any case.
ATTENTION: Please take care not to re-insert the filter before the citric acid has been thoroughly rinsed out of the machine, otherwise the filter may be damaged irreparably and should not be used further. If your Kangen water tastes acidic after cleaning, the filter has contact with citric acid and needs to be replaced immediately.
The machine enters the automatic 30-second cleaning mode under the following circumstances:
1. After 15 minutes of water consumption.
2. If the machine has not been used for 24 hours.
3. After the production of strongly acidic water.
In some cases (depending on the water source or use), the inside of the machine is so calcified that the mechanical propeller cannot turn, which is necessary to perform the automatic cleaning. If your machine does not finish the automatic cleaning process, please first clean with citric acid before contacting our service department.

Hoses for water supply and drainage - Although any length (in units of 40 inches) is available, shorter hoses are easier to use for this purpose. The hose offered by our company has special antibacterial properties1 that distinguish it from general products. Pre-filter - Useful when removing foreign matter such as iron rust, dirt and sand, especially if the original water supply comes from a well. It can also remove limescale and protects the device.
1Anti-bacterial coating All parts of the LeveLuk, especially those that come into contact with the water when filtering, have an anti-mix-water bacterial treatment to prevent any kind of contamination.
It is recommended that the machine be deep cleaned and checked at least once every two years by our trained service team. Any contaminants that cannot be removed by regular cleaning with citric acid are removed in this way. After receiving your machine, we first test its overall condition and performance. Following this, the machine is cleaned with a strong acid, which removes any debris that could damage the plates or internal water outlets. Last but not least, we test the machine performance again to make sure you get it back in perfect condition. If you have any other concerns besides the desired deep cleaning, please let our service staff know in advance.
Since it is not always possible to recreate the circumstances in which you have detected a malfunction of the machine, it is beneficial if you tell us as precisely as possible what to check. Specific problems, especially water leakage, should be reported to our team.

We recommend replacing the filter every six months to get the best results possible. However, the machine has a mechanical counter and automatically displays the message "Replace Filter" after 6000 liters of incoming water as the filter was designed for this maximum amount. In addition, the days since last use of the water filter reset switch are counted. 365 days after the last use, the display indicates a necessary filter change, even if no 6000 liters have been used. You can think of the 365 days as an "expiration date" and the six months as a "shelf life". Please note that when running water for a minute, about 6 liters will come together or about 4 liters of Kangen water and 2 liters of beauty water from the flexible hose.
A 400 ml bottle electrolysis amplifier is enough for about 20 liters of strong Kangen water and 10 liters of strongly acidic water. When you get your machine, all hoses are empty, so a little bit of booster fluid will run into those hoses.
The LeveLuk's display screen informs you when the total amount of water reaches 1,500 gallons. The microcomputer controls this notification mechanism. Be sure to press the reset button to activate the microcomputer when inserting a new filter. The reset switch is located in the upper right corner of the cassette area (in the black cover on the left). Please press until it beeps. The microcomputer also controls other information for the LeveLuk. For this reason, it is important to press the reset button.
If the engine is new, there may be air in the inner hoses intended for the booster fluid. Let the water run at low pressure for 3-5 minutes. If the machine is no longer new, it is possible that salt crystals are stuck in the tank or internal connections. Clean the outside of the tank, especially the part that connects to the machine. Afterwards, let the water run at low pressure for 3-5 minutes.
The adapters supplied with our machines comply with the European standard for faucet heads. Please understand that we cannot produce adapters for non-standardized taps. Generally, however, the screw adapter should be used, since this is actually flexible.
It happens that you hear a slight humming when there is a magnetic field near your machine. The electromagnetic shielding differs slightly from machine to machine, causing some to buzzing and others to not.
It is very likely that the ring (stopper) on the cassette has come off during transport or you have forgotten to remove the O-ring1 when replacing the cassette. It is highly unlikely that the leak was caused by a mechanical fault in the unit.

If the original supply of tap water is rich in minerals (most commonly in well water), large quantities of crystals form in the electrolysis cell. As this progresses, chunks of crystals may get caught in the net in front of the flexible pipe and hinder water drainage. To remove this obstruction, plug the area with a piece of wire and blow air from the spout into the LeveLuk. Please remove the LeveLuk flexible tube when cleaning in this way.
The operating principle of LCD touch screens is conductivity. If the display does not respond, this is because the electrical conductor - in this case the human body - does not affect the electromagnetic field of the screen. Make sure the screen protector has been removed and your hands and display are clean and dry.
This so-called "ghost-tapping" is related to the problem presented above. On the human skin are fatty acids and other lipids. If you touch the screen with your finger - whether wet or dry - these substances will remain and react with the electromagnetic field of the screen, which may cause the machine to sense a touch of the screen. Clean the screen to solve this problem.
In general, the cleaning tank should have emptied in about 27 minutes after the start of e-cleaning. For the following reasons, the tank may not be pumped empty or leaks:
Solution: Clean both the tank compartment and the tank cover with a damp cloth to dissolve hydrochloric and citric acid deposits. It is also important that the cover is placed back on the machine and that the tank is firmly seated in the compartment provided for it. In a few cases, the tank may be a predecessor model. These older tanks do not have the flexible hose inside. The lid of the tank must be closed so that the hose rests on the underside of the tank and does not end in an air pocket on the top of the tank. If the tank leaks, check that the cap has been properly and tightly closed.
The software probably stopped working. Unplug the unit, wait one minute and reconnect. Depending on your firmware version, you can continue with the previous cleaning cycle. If this is not the case, go through the steps "E-cleaning 7" to "E-cleaning 12" (page 28 of your operating instructions) manually and without regard to the instructions on the display. If the process stops suddenly after you touch the screen to check the remaining time, you probably touched the stop button. (Note that the screen is still active and reacts when it is dark). Therefore, do not touch the display near the stop button.
In a few cases, it may be that the tank is a previous model. These older tanks do not have the flexible hose inside. The lid of the tank must be closed so that the hose rests on the underside of the tank and does not end in air pockets at the top of the tank. If the tank leaks, check if the lid is properly and firmly closed.
Presumably the software has hung up. Disconnect the device from the circuit, wait a minute and reconnect it. Depending on your firmware version, you can continue the previous cleaning cycle. If this is not the case, go through the steps "E-cleaning 7" to "E-cleaning 12" (page 28 of your operating manual) manually and without regard to the instructions of the display.
If the process stops suddenly after touching the remaining time screen, you may have touched the Stop button. (Please note that the screen is active an reacts even when it is dark). Therefore, do not touch the display near the stop button.
This can happen if the faucet has been turned on within the first 30 minutes during the cleaning process.
Please touch the screen when the cleaning cycle has been in progress for more than 30 minutes. If the screen is currently active, wait until it enters standby mode before touching it.
Disable the mineral solution tank in "Settings" > "Mineral Additive".
Yes. Never seal the flexible hose under any circumstances. The only hose that can be closed during E-cleaning is the secondary hose.
First, thoroughly clean the thread and tank lid. Also check if the contacts inside the compartment are free or stuck. It is possible that salt crystals have settled behind the pins, which prevents the machine from recognizing the tank. Use a damp cloth or a damp cotton swab to gently clean the pins and possibly loosen any salt crystals stuck behind them. You can also use a thin, smooth object (such as the end of a ballpoint pen) to gently push in the pins and gently dislodge the salt crystals behind them. But be careful not to push the pins too far, otherwise they might disappear in the machine. Then firmly press the tank into the compartment provided and place the cover back on the machine.
Check the "pH setting" under "Settings" and increase if necessary. Also lower the pressure of the water jet on your faucet to give the necessary time to the electrolysis process in the machine.
If you're using an older generation of K8 filters, your filter may lack the protective sticker that covers the chip. If this filter gets wet, it can happen that the machine does not recognize it. Try to dry the chip with a hair dryer and avoid further contact with water. If you have access to another K8, check your filter on the other device. If it does not recognize your filter as well, the filter chip is damaged. If the other machine recognizes your filter as original, please contact our service department. (Service@enagiceu.com)
On page 24 of your operating instructions, please read under what circumstances the machine requests a filter change. If none of these conditions apply to your case, please send a picture of the display bars under "Filter Control" on our display to our service department (firstname.lastname@example.org) (see page 16 of the instruction manual). In addition, inform our service team as precisely as possible about the time of the last filter change and the regularity with which you clean the machine. Only with this information, we can help you properly. Please understand that we cannot replace filters that have been in use for several months before the problem occurred, as we cannot track the amount of water used in this case.
LeveLuk has an automatic cleaning system. The amount of minerals in the feedwater, such as Ca and Mg, can vary widely, and mineral1 clusters inevitably adhere to the electrode plates. However, they can easily be stopped by reversing the electric current (switching the polarity +, -). Mineral buildup attached to the electrode plate reduces the electrolysis capacity of the device, preventing the primary Kangen Water® from being produced. The amount of minerals adhering to the electrolytic cell will vary depending on the amount of minerals in the tap water.
The LeveLuk automatic cleaning mechanism activates for 20 seconds when continuous electrolysis reaches 15 minutes. If you use LeveLuk in areas where the water is high in minerals, change the "beauty water" setting (2nd from the bottom) and turn the faucet lightly to allow the water to run smoothly. This reverses the electrical current and removes the crystals in the electrolysis cell after 2-3 minutes. If you change the setting to "beauty water" once a day for 30 seconds, you can also clean the electrolytic cell. The cleaning function is required to maximize the life of the electrolytic cell.
The high-grade filter removes a minimum of 95% chlorine and lead from up to 6000 liters of water. All other substances cannot be listed here, as the effectiveness of the filter depends on its abundance in incoming water. Note, however, that Enagic does not produce filters that can make non-potable water drinkable. Our filters and prefilters improve the overall water quality in terms of taste, odor, sediment content, hardness and removal of certain substances, and prepare the water for the electrolysis process, which is the main function of our machines.
If you do not use the machine for an extended period of time, you should first empty it completely and unplug it.
After a prolonged period of non-use, an e-cleaning should always be carried out first. It is also advisable to store the high-grade filter in the refrigerator or in a similarly cool place during this time in order to prevent mold growth. If the filter has been used before, it should not be stored for more than one month.
Desalinated water does not need to be pretreated before it passes through the machine. However, other problems might arise:
Yes. If there is no water running through them, all machines automatically fall into standby mode. They are only active when the sensor registers running water.
No. If the gray hose (acidic water) is above the water outlet inside the machine, the separation of the water is partly reversed and both water types mix again, causing the mineral ions to react with mineral oxides. Kangen water is expelled by the water pressure of the faucet, whereas the acidic water is mainly due to gravity. So, there is not much pressure on the gray hose when it is lifted over the machine, which in part leads to a reversal of the electrolysis..
Two types of water run through the LeveLuk machine, and Kangen Water® is only produced when both run at a fixed ratio. If the outlet hose is bent or the stand is positioned higher than the bottom tip of the flexible pipe, no acidic water can be produced. If you stretch the hose under the sink to collect water in a separate container, you will lose Kangen Water®. In this case, do not pull down the stand, but prepare a separate hose to catch the water in the container. Make it a daily habit to check the water with the pH test solution and hydrogen bubbles.
There is a rectangular switch under the black cover on the left front of the device. Be sure to press this button (a beep should sound) when setting up the LeveLuk for the first time or replacing the filter. This allows the correct display of all information stored on the LeveLuk microcomputer (liquid crystal display). This reset button must be pressed to display information on the LCD screen. It notifies the user if there is too much or too little water, triggers an alarm if hot water is accidentally leaked and instructs you to monitor the flow of water. Proper use of the reset switch on the LeveLuk ensures that safe and healthy water is supplied.
When electrolyzing water, Kangen Water® (alkaline) is formed at the negative pole and acidic water at the positive pole. LeveLuk is designed so that the flexible tube attached above is connected to the negative electrolysis cell, while the (gray) tube attached to the base of the LeveLuk is connected to the positive electrolysis cell.
For this reason, Neutral Water, Kangen Water®, and Strong Kangen Water® come out of the flexible tube and sour water and strong acidic water from the drain hose. When Beauty mode is set for the four modes of production, the electric current is reversed as in cleaning so that acidic water exits the flexible tube and Kangen Water® exits the drain tube. This is the only time the water is drained at the opposite ends. Since the acidic mode reverses the polarity, the calcium crystals attached to the negative pole break off and can be used as a manual cleaning mode.
Traditionally, strong acidic water could only be produced with large equipment for institutional use (at that time, strongly acidic water was referred to as acidified water). We felt that it would be very useful for people's hygiene if they were able to produce and use highly acidic water in their homes. The LeveLuk makes it possible to produce relatively large amounts of strongly acidic water and strong Kangen Water® at home.
The electrode plate in LeveLuk's electrolysis cell is thicker and larger than the products of other companies. The device is designed in this way to increase the electrolysis capacity and durability. Another important reason is to ensure the production of maximum amounts of water. The electrode plates are made of the highest quality titanium coated with platinum. The beauty water mode is the only one where you want to run acidic water out of the flexible pipe. In addition, using the upper flexible tube makes it easier to use the device, especially if you wash your face or fill water in a plastic bottle. Before using this water, you must remove the deposits2 (mineral clusters) adhering to the electrode plate1 by reversing the tension3. This is necessary to produce perfect acidic water. If you remove the equilibrium and run acidic water through the flexible tubes, even if you do not want to use acidic water, you can keep the electrode plate clean and increase its life.
1 Electrode plate
A metal plate that conducts electricity during electrolysis. It is made of titanium and is platinum plated, so it has excellent electrolysis capacity and long life.
Ca, Mg, Na, Ka and other mineral clusters are formed when water is electrolyzed. These clusters are called scales and are not harmful even when consumed.
3 Perform the tension
To electrolyze water, the plus and minus of the DC currents must be clear. If mineral clusters are attached to the electrode plate, you must invert the plus and minus of the current to remove the clusters. As a result, the device is always set to a cleaning function, similar to the setting "Beauty Water".
The electrolysis of water requires high quality electrolysis plates. Size, thickness and number of plates are crucial for maintaining durability. The "double cross-line" method1 used by other companies takes into account the overall durability of the devices. These devices, in turn, use two small electrolysis cells to provide a rest time, but limit the volume of water that can be produced at once. LeveLuk, on the other hand, has five or seven electrolysis plates, which is the largest number in the industry. Due to their large surface area and thickness, the durability is maintained for a long time, and the device can produce large amounts of water (maximum Kangen-Wasser®: 5.5 liters / minute).
Every function, e.g. As the power supply according to the switching of the pH adjustment and the generation of strongly acidic water in the same electrolytic cell is carefully monitored by the microcomputer. 1Double cross-line method
Also referred to as automatic crossbar change method. An electrolysis system where the unit is equipped with two small electrolysis cells to increase shelf life by changing cells with each water flow.
LeveLuk is equipped with an automatic water drainage system that prevents the contamination and proliferation of germs in the residual water. The automatic water drainage system is activated as soon as the water stops. It takes about 30 seconds for all the water in the electrolytic cell, the water treatment cartridge and all channels to drain through the hose (gray). Please note that if the water level drops and the spout is positioned higher than the bottom of the unit for any reason (accumulation of acidic water in the tank due to its length makes the hose hang from a rack), the automatic water drainage system may be activated lead that no residual water is drained off. Leaving water can cause taste and odor problems. Make sure the outlet hose is lower than the appliance before turning off the tap.

Unrefined water contains minerals1. LeveLuk is designed to handle a standard amount of minerals. When the amount of minerals or free carbon dioxide2 is greater than usual, the minerals sometimes react with the antibacterial effect3 of the water supply hose and smell it. We have prepared a water supply hose such cases. If you are running water through the unit for the first time, please put it on purified water and let it run for two to three minutes longer than usual.
White deposits on your water glass / tumbler or water bottle are normal and should not be of any concern to you. During ionization, positive mineral ions accumulate in the Kangen water. These react with the oxygen in the air, resulting in a thin layer of deposit on water glasses or other vessels. If you were to fill a vessel to the brim and then seal it and compare it to a vessel that you have filled but not closed, you would find more deposits in the latter than in the first. However, if you find white particles in freshly drawn Kangen water that slowly sink to the bottom of your container, this indicates limescale deposits on the electrolysis plates. In this case, the machine should be cleaned more frequently. If your water is slightly cloudy, this is usually a good sign, as it indicates dissolved oxygen in your water.
Your original tap water supply always contains some minerals. These crystallize easily on the electrolysis plates and partially break off in the water. Although they look like foreign substances, drinking these mineral clusters is not harmful. To prevent the mineral clusters from falling into the water, we recommend that you change the setting to "Beauty Water" mode (return tension) and increase the water pressure and volume once or twice a day for 3-4 minutes Device to clean. If you live in an area that has very chalky water, we recommend using the pre-filter1 (sold separately). Depending on the situation, it may be useful to use both filters together.
A filter used in situations where the original water supply contains a high percentage of well water or chemical substances. The transparent filter makes it easy to see when the cartridge needs to be changed.
If you set the machine to beauty water (acidic water) and run the water for two to three minutes, you can significantly reduce the amount of minerals. There are always small amounts of minerals in the non-purified water (tap water / waste water). During electrolysis, minerals concentrate on the minus side of the electrolysis cycle, causing clusters to attach to the electrode plate. LeveLuk can remove the clusters by reversing the stress, but sometimes these clusters naturally fall off. If you pour this water into a stainless-steel container or a glass, the clusters stick to the bottom and sides. It is difficult to remove these clusters by scraping with metallic objects, etc. Instead, pour vinegar into the container and let it stand for 12 to 15 hours. You can replace vinegar with citric acid if you want. These clusters are not harmful, even if ingested while drinking. So do not worry.
Bubbles should only be visible in freshly produced water as gaseous substances escape from the water (comparable to sparkling table water from which carbon dioxide escapes). The presence and visibility of bubbles are dependent on the conductivity of the incoming tap water and the cleanliness of the machine.
The white mist seen in Kangen Water® is simply a consequence of the release of hydrogen gas by electrolysis and is not a problem. If you let the glass rest for a while, the white mist should disappear.

Please note that both pH and ORP are strongly dependent on the electrolysis time of the water. If your pH levels are too low, reduce the water pressure. The longer the water is in the electrolysis chamber, the better the result will be.

The condition of the water changes when the water is heated or cooled. Upon heating, ORP and pH change. After cooling, the ORP changes, but the pH stays the same for up to a week depending on the water quality.

This symptom, also known as gastric achlorhydria, occurs in people with gastric acid above the average human pH of 1.8 pH. This makes it difficult for them to digest food. These people should not drink alkaline Kangen Water®.
The type of tap water used originally affects the quality of Kangen Water® and the acidic water produced by electrolysis. Although municipal water produced water is not affected, the efficiency of electrolysis decreases when well water is used because it usually contains much free carbon dioxide and in cases where water containing only a small amount of electrolytic minerals is used , Conversely, in cases where the water contains excessive minerals, the taste may be compromised or the Kangen Water® may be too high in pH. Since the water pressure of the faucet affects water production, it is important to confirm that genuine Kangen Water® is produced by periodically adjusting the correct pH and checking the bubbles. In order to take into account, the quality differences of the original tap water, please carry out a daily check.
The benefits of Kangen Water® are the minerals contained and the optimal hydration.
Acidic water has a pH of about 5.5 to 6.5, and strong acidic water has a pH of less than 2.7. The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has recognized acidic water as astringent1. Strong acidic water has excellent cleaning properties and can be used to clean household surfaces and to remove pesticides, dirt and other food contaminants.
Acidic water acts as an astringent to tighten your skin. "Astringent water" refers to acidic beauty water.
Among the five types of water produced by LeveLuk, the two potable varieties (neutral water / Kangen Water®) must be used fresh. Please do not store these two types of water in the refrigerator for longer than 4-5 days and exchange the water in your carry-on bottle daily. For water used for domestic purposes, including acidic water, strong acidic water and strong Kangen water, less care is required. However, we recommend changing the care once a week. For storage, please fill the water in an opaque container, fill it up completely to avoid unnecessary contact with air, and store it in a cool, dark place (the refrigerator is ideal).
Most often, a low pH (between pH 8.0 and pH 9.0) is initially set and the uptake gradually increased. Gradually adjust the pH and intake (between pH 9.0 and pH 9.5) to your physical needs and health after approximately two weeks of regular intake. The Kangen Water® should be as fresh as possible.
For children or seniors, set the pH at start up to an even lower level and gradually increase it as the body adapts to the current pH level.
In infants (up to about one year of age) whose diet is partially or fully breast-milk based, gut movement is generally different from that of adults, and using Kangen Water® is not recommended until the baby begins to consume more sophisticated foods. In any case, Kangen Water® should not be used to make milk powder for infants.
There are no fixed rules on how to drink Kangen Water® or how much you consume.
The oxidation-reduction potential is the electrical potential required to reduce or slow down oxidation such as rusting. The ideal ODR level for the human body is between -150mV and -400mV. Kangen Water® must have a negative redox potential to be considered good, especially when drinking.
Redox potential is the strength to bind with active oxygen 1, which measurably reduces performance. Although a negative value is desired for the deoxidation performance, the actual value varies from region to region. In the city of Osaka, for example, tap water detects a redox of + 580-600 mV, but after using LeveLuk, the redox becomes pH 9.5 and the ideal of -150 mV to -400 mV. When the ORP of the original water supply rises, the ORP from Kangen Water® moves in direct proportion. LeveLuk is able to produce water with negative ORP values at pH 9.5, even if the original water supply represents the highest positive ORP levels.

The oxidation reduction potential (ORP) is the electrical potential needed to reduce or slow down rust and decay (oxidation). The ORP also represents the reduction capacity to attract active oxygen. The optimal values for the human body are between -150 and -400mV. The redox potential is also closely related to the pH. As the pH increases, so does the ORP. It is also possible to increase ORP by electrolysis. The value depends heavily on the original water supply. An ideal redox potential may not be achieved if the original water has a pH of less than 7.0. Please check the characteristics of your original water. Otherwise, this can lead to errors.
This addition is recommended if the used tap or well water is already very acidic. Although acidic water has an astringent effect1, is good for the skin and is used for everyday tasks and facials, it is not recommended for drinking. Even when this water is electrolyzed, it does not produce water at standard pH levels. By adding calcium powder (calcium glycophosphate)2, the pH can be increased at intervals of 0.5 and alkaline water can be produced.

If the pH does not increase even after electrolyzing water (especially when using well water or tap water near the sea of Japan), the addition of calcium powder increases the pH.
Kangen Water® produces a yellow / green color (neutral reading) in pH test solutions, even if the pH was adjusted to 9.5. This phenomenon is often observed in areas where well water is used. Even neutral tested water has gone through the electrolytic process and has the benefits. This is caused by carbon dioxide in well water resulting from decomposition of organic matter. Carbon dioxide easily dissolves in water and makes it sour. Water with carbon dioxide can be electrolyzed, but the carbon dioxide is neutralized during the process. Therefore, the water is neutral on the pH scale. The expulsion of carbon dioxide from Kangen Water® means that Kangen Water® does not express blue in pH test fluid.
When measuring pH with a pH test solution, add a few drops to the flask before adding freshly prepared Kangen Water®. Carbon dioxide is in your Kangen Water® when the color initially turns blue and then turns yellow.
Yes. However, if you use LeveLuk in other countries, it must be adapted to the voltage (110V - 240V) and water quality of the country. Since there are only a few countries where you can drink tap water directly from the faucet, and in many countries where the water has an extremely high calcium content, we recommend selecting a filter that is appropriate for the country. When exporting goods, many laws must be followed, but individual use abroad is not a problem.
LeveLuk is designed for use in any location, however, especially in cold areas, it must be known how the device can be made frost-resistant in winter. When you turn off the water, the LeveLuk activates the automatic drainage system and drains the remaining water through the gray hose. This ensures that no water remains in the unit. Although there have been no reports of freezing accidents or glitches, deliberately or unintentionally lifting the hose could leave acidic water in the tank, causing the automatic drain system to malfunction and freeze the remaining water. This could lead to accidents. Make sure that the hose is lower than the bottom of the LeveLuk when turning off the water flow.
